Hello there! If you've landed at this post, you've probably already taken a peek at my "About LGD" page, and you understand my core mission: to make getting dressed fun again. I want to be a partner in clearing any and all obstacles that stand in between you and a style that is accessible, functional, and most importantly authentically YOU! Whether I need to build you a shoe cabinet and re-shelve your sweaters, shop for a capsule wardrobe for your next business trip, or help you fall in love all over again with the pieces you currently have on hand- I'm here for you.

But before you let me into your closet, you're likely going to want to know a bit more about me. (At least, I hope that's the case. If you let random people into your home without checking their ID first, you haven't watched enough Dateline.) The kick-off to almost every service I offer is a style questionnaire- and it seems like a logical starting point for me to fill it out here! While my survey for clients is a bit more in-depth, here are some key answers for my own personal LGD Style Assessment:
Three words to describe your current style: spirited, preppy, accessorized
Three words to describe your "goal" style: spirited, preppy, accessorized
Would you rather be over or under-dressed: over (I usually am)
Current favorite item in my closet: necklaces made out of vintage designer buttons
Most worn item(s) in my closet: classic black mules, a brown braided belt
Item I've never worn but can't throw out/donate/sell: what is it, how long have you had it, and why is it still in your closet: cropped sweater jacket-, baby blue tweed with fringe. It's VERY Dolly Parton, so it doesn't fit into the rest of my wardrobe easily and I haven't built an outfit I love around it yet. I've had it for six years and just can't throw it out because I'm convinced I can successfully bring a bit of Dolly into my vibe...even though it's a proven challenge.
When was the last time I loved the outfit I had on? What was it, and why did I love it? Leopard print + striped cardigan, chambray button up, black skinny pants, doc marten boots, layers of gold jewelry. It felt classic but still very fun, the fit was great, I was comfortable but the details were sharp. I made a mental note to wear it again.
Of the following, which event causes the most anxiety when getting dressed for: brunch with friends, a special date night, an average work day, a typical Saturday morning? Typical Saturday morning. I have less solo time in the morning on the weekends, so I usually am choosing between spending my time sifting through clothes or doing hair/makeup- and fixing the neck-up situation usually wins. And while I love them, I tend to wear the same few tops every Saturday, and I don't love that repetition.
When you go shopping, your most frequented stores (if you shop primarily online, what sites/apps are your go-tos): Nordstrom (store), Evereve (store), Tuckernuck (online), ShopBop (app)
Celebrity style you admire: Cate Blanchett
Favorite fashion influencer(s) you follow, if any: I went through a social media purge last year and don't get a ton of that content anymore, but when I want inspo I look up Seersucker + Saddles. I do follow and love Katie Sturino and Amy Seeman!
There's a glimpse into my closet! Here are the rest my essential trading card stats:
Location: Kansas City metro, KS (by way of Minneapolis)
Dream job: getting paid to shop. Oh hey...
Celebrity crush: John Hamm, always
Go-to coffee order: Plain latte w/ coconut milk or bone-dry capp w/ extra foam
Favorite ice cream flavor: Raspberry Chocolate Chip
Desert Island beauty product: Peter Thomas Roth Rose Stem Cell Mask
Never leave home without: 73 lipsticks in my purse
Secret hoarder of: the "good" office supplies (Le Pen + Mildliners forever)
That's me! Nice to meet you :)
